Supervised by Reno Gomez, LCSW-S
As a social worker with years of experience working in a variety of settings, I find it to be most rewarding working directly with my clients in a warm, comfortable, inviting, and non-judgmental environment. I like to provide a space that clients feel comfortable processing difficult emotions so they can leave the session feeling a greater sense of resilience, confidence, and happiness. I believe that starting with a strength-based and relational approach and tailoring the sessions to your needs, is important in building rapport and trust in the session. Therapy is not, “one size fits all”, and I will meet you where you are in a supportive and flexible manner, because I know this can be scary at first for some people.
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Family Studies from Towson University and my Master's in Clinical Social Work from University of Maryland in Baltimore. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker working toward my Clinical licensure. In the past, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities, non-profit organizations, private practice, community settings and others. I have experience working with family members of individuals addicted to drugs and alcohol, and started a grief support group in Maryland, for those who have lost a loved one to drugs or alcohol. I also have international speaking experience on the topics of vulnerably, resiliency, and grief.
I enjoy working with a variety of issues and populations. Some of these include, survivors of abuse, domestic violence and sexual violence, trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship and interpersonal struggles, life transitions, eating disorders, and PTSD. I am here to listen, hold space, and process with you as you tell your story.
