I believe in the healing power of connection with others, and I hope to create a safe and welcoming space where my clients feel empowered to explore all the different parts of themselves. I specialize in working with survivors of trauma, and individuals struggling with anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions. If you are dealing with the impact of trauma or loss, feeling stuck, or want assistance navigating barriers to healing, I’m here to support you.
I am a relational therapist and incorporate interpersonal neurobiology, attachment-theory, mindfulness, and self-compassion into my work with clients. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and when appropriate, use this type of therapy to address PTSD, anxiety, and grief- just to name a few! EMDR is a unique therapy that builds on your brain’s natural ability to heal, and can be used to decrease negative thoughts, emotions, and somatic reactions to traumatic events. In our work together, I will integrate these various techniques and maintain a warm, empathetic approach that honors the inner wisdom and life experience that everyone brings with them.
Outside the counseling room, I love exploring Austin, spending time outside, hanging out with my cat, and re-watching old episodes of Parks and Recreation.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a degree from the University of Texas at Austin and am receiving clinical supervision from Arielle Frank, LCSW-S.
