Drea Fackler, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Rebecca Lincoln, MA, CHT, LPC-S
I am a body-centered therapist. My masters degree is from Prescott College where I focused in somatic psychology. I am also a graduate of the two year training program in Boulder, CO in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy.
In my work, I utilize the principles of Hakomi including nonviolence, mindfulness, organicity, unity, and mind-body integration. I enjoy helping clients study their habitual patterns. Through repeated experiences we develop habits, but we don’t have to continue living that way. As we mindfully explore who we are, we give ourselves more freedom of choice about our habitual patterns and who we want to be.
I have specialized experience in anxiety, depression, chronic pain, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, and trauma. Trained in EMDR, I have unique skills for helping clients navigate PTSD. I bring almost two decades of experience working with the body mind connection as a yoga teacher, massage therapist, and cranio sacral therapist. I am heavily influenced by Hakomi, Gestalt, Attachment theory, and Neuroscience. Through my study in somatic psychology, I have learned that the mind and body are intricately woven together. I help clients to integrate the various parts of themselves to feel more freedom and joy.
I am excited to work with you!
